The purpose of this website is to share a collection of Daily Five and CAFE resources and ideas. The Daily Five was started by "The Two Sisters", Gail and Jene Boushey, and is used in classrooms of all ages. It is a management system used during literacy block time. The Daily Five teaches students to be independent and work on meaningful activities during literacy block. The CAFE book is a follow-up book to the Daily Five. It stands for Comprehension, Accuracy, Fluency, and Expand Vocabulary. The book talks of how to set up a readers' workshop and one-on-one reading conferences with kids.

Daily Five/CAFE Websites
The Two Sisters Website
This website offers descriptions of the two sisters and how they developed the Daily 5. It also features a section called "Resources for You" which can really be useful when planning to implement or reteach the Daily 5. The Daily Cafe Website
Awesome videos of almost any part of the Daily 5 or the CAFE book that you would want! These videos do a great job of modeling the things described in the book. This site would be great if you wanted to teach a class or have a study group on the daily five as well.
Mrs. Meachum's Classroom Site
This website has an abundance of wonderful ideas and information included. In her literacy centers section under charts and graphs she has some great printables for anchor charts that I have used for my classroom in the past. She also has some great reading logs and ideas for read to self, read to someone, and listen to reading.
Daily Five Management Ideas Great suggestions of different ways to manage who goes where with the daily five.
